The Cycleops 400 Pro Indoor Cycle is not a cheap piece of kit, but it delivers on so many levels that it is rightly considered to be top of the range. With the Cycleops 400 Pro Indoor Cycle you can re-ride your favourites, and test yourself to the max all over again; as long as that ride is captured on your Joule you need no longer be a slave to weather, geography or time of day. You dont have to be a top of the range cyclist either to enjoy using this trainer – if you are aiming to improve or maintain, this will be the perfect training partner.
You get all the real riding experience indoors, complete with the genuine feel of gradients thanks to the electronic resistance control technology and the stable platform that gives you no wobble when working out on a stiff hill climb or sprinting workout scenario. With all the feedback from a top range cycling computer, your Cycleops i400 Pro Indoor Cycle will give you the training information and real cycling experience that you would get from going out on the bike; but with the added advantage of being able to fit in a training session in odd half hours without all the prep involved in going out on a ride.
The CycleOps 400 Pro Indoor Cycle even has water-bottle carriers up front for hydration when the workout is long and tough. Not included in the package, but easily available separately, are the useful road-style handlebars which will give the option of using it for road trials or training as well as for speed. This trainer has four adjustment points, making for a totally custom fit; you can also separately buy different styles of saddles and pedals to make the equipment as near to your road bike in feel as possible. Along with the usual parameters you would find on a top range cycle computer, i.e., cadence, resistance, heart rate, etc. the Cycleops 400 Pro Indoor Cycle gives a stable and comfortable ride which will enhance your performance and training results by leaps and bounds.
Unfortunately this trainer has somewhat of a quirk in that when it comes to programming your personal details, you will need add the bike weight to yours, otherwise when doing a hill climb using the online trainer, it will warn you that you are going too fast.
Aside from the above-mentioned glitch, the Cycleops 400 Pro Indoor Cycle is, as you would expect from both the maker and the price, an excellent trainer. It is stable, adjustable for a perfect fit, the parameters it delivers and the workout it gives is first rate.
